- It has been 6 months since my wife and I started doing yoga at Sangrock. When people have asked me what yoga has donr for me I usually just said that I feel better. Yesterday i took a physical for my Life Insurance policy. Now i can show proof of how my body has improved in these 6 months. I have lost 16 pounds, my waist size is 3 inches less, my blood pressurewas 120 over70, the best that has ever been and the nurse was surprised how my pulse was at only 64 beats/min. Beside my physical changes my mental state is better.

- Before I arrived in Charlotte, I was in very bad shape. I felt that I needed to get out of my element in Indiana, so i came to Charlotte for 2 months. During my 2nd week, I started yoga. I had to sit in a chair due to my mt double hip replacements a year ago due to too mant steroids during my battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma 2 years ago. In few weeks I was out of the chair and onto yoga mat. My body and spirit is awakened now. I feel like my old self-before my cancer started. I lost over 34 lbs, greatly increase my muscle strength. I am able to lift my nephews and nieces now.

- When I first came to Sangrock I had been a smoker for many years. This was starting to affect my breathing. In few weeks of practicing yoga I have quit smoking and can feel my vitality returning very rapidly. My flexibility and range of motion have surpassed my teen children. My patience has grown tremendously.

- I am a very busy mom, preschool teacher and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis(MS) in April 2003. That is where yoga comes in for me. The stretching and strengthening have really helped me with my energy level as well as my insomnia. In addition to the physical benefits I have also gained many psychological benefits. As I am learning to Meditate, I am able to relax my mind a lot easier without thinking of everything I need to do for next day.

- Before coming to Sangrock and studying yoga I was overweight, had bad exerci habits, and lacked focus. Within the first 3 weeks of Yoga I had lost 20lbs and experienced the best sleep I have had in quite some time. Yoga has brought a new meaning to my life and opened my eyes to a kinder, gentle way of loving.

- I hace learning yoga at Sangrock for a little over a year now. Prior to starting yoga I frequently had issues with my back. I was diagnosed with Scoliosis. With doing yoga stretches and wearing Spincor Brace in few months I founded the curve of my spine has improved almost almost 5 degrees.

- I want to thank for the class at IBM lunch and learn. I was so impress with the breathing techniques. The instruction was so good that we were understanding what we are doing. This is a class that all ages should take. I have taken yoga before, but never a class like this.
