Patanjali said: “prayatana saithilayam samap prathibyam”; meaning, one should perform a pose effortlessly, by fixing the mind beyond. Beginners may find muscle stiffness but after a few weeks you will begin to feel you body opening and becoming more limber and stiffness will fade away. Always modify the pose or come out of the pose if it is too strenuous for you current level of fitness. Never attempt to perform at your above you comfort level. Always listen to your self.
